Bridges to Peace – Interfaith Gathering
This year our interfaith gatherings will take on a new format.
Firstly, we will gather on Sunday afternoons (instead of Saturday).
Secondly, we will introduce a time of circle listening, where we can hear stories and insights from a range of faiths, and contribute our own. This will take place in an atmosphere which encourages us to listen respectfully to the experience and wisdom of others.
Finally, we will finish with a light vegetarian meal. The aim will be to enjoy one another’s company, and perhaps discover more about our faith traditions.
The schedule is:
4.00pm – 4.30pm: Praying alongside one another using texts from different traditions, with silence and music
4.30pm – 5.30pm: Respectful listening to one another in a circle, beginning with three short presentations on the topic of ‘laughter’
5.30pm – 6.00pm: Light vegetarian meal and conversation
